Text your habit on WhatsApp in 2 seconds. No app to open, no buttons to find. Works on every phone. AI handles all the interpretation so "ran 5k" just works without selecting categories or entering numbers in fields.
Strides offers flexible tracking with four goal types: target, average, habit, and project. The charting is above average and it syncs via iCloud. It works well as a personal goal tracker for iOS users. But it shares the fundamental weakness of all app-based trackers: it requires you to open another app, find the right habit, and manually enter data. This friction is why most people abandon habit trackers within two weeks. And if you use Android, Strides is not available on mobile at all.
